At the 2025 edition of the Encuentro Industrial y Comercial Querétaro, Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) met with regional entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders to identify new opportunities in advanced manufacturing and logistics. The meetings underscored Edinburg’s commitment to fostering binational cooperation that benefits both Mexico and the United States.
During the event, the Edinburg delegation met with Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development of Querétaro, to discuss strategies for sustainable growth and the development of cross-border opportunities. The dialogue highlighted the importance of aligning economic initiatives to strengthen global competitiveness.
Partnerships and Strategic Connections
Through its partnership with EMAAC (the Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce), led by President Josef Moldmeyer, Edinburg EDC connected with key industry leaders. These included Venancio Pérez Gómez, Vice President of Samsung Querétaro, and Jorge Rodríguez Rodríguez, Vice President of the Querétaro Logistics Innovation Cluster, both of whom emphasized the state’s growing role in supply chain integration.
Querétaro’s trade remains heavily land-based, with 80% of goods transported by truck through strategic highways that connect directly with U.S. supply chain corridors. This positioning reinforces the state’s importance as a logistics hub with strong potential for binational collaboration.
Commitment to Binational Growth
Edinburg EDC reaffirmed its commitment to transform these relationships into tangible investment opportunities. By linking Querétaro’s industrial strength with Edinburg’s strategic location in South Texas, the initiative aims to boost competitiveness, generate jobs, and create long-term economic value on both sides of the border.
