The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Mexican-German Business Association (EMAAC) to strengthen binational collaboration and attract new foreign investment to South Texas. This alliance represents a forward-looking step in Edinburg’s efforts to position itself as a smart destination for global business and innovation.

A partnership for cross-border competitiveness

Through this collaboration, EEDC and EMAAC will coordinate initiatives focused on attracting Mexican and German companies seeking to expand their footprint in the United States. The agreement also includes joint efforts to promote trade, logistics, and technology exchanges, as well as networking opportunities and business missions that connect entrepreneurs and industry leaders from both sides of the border.

According to Jeffrey Salcedo Cantú, International Business Development Consultant at EEDC, the partnership reflects Edinburg’s commitment to cultivating global alliances that translate into real investment opportunities. By fostering dialogue and cooperation, the city continues to expand its international reach and enhance its role in the North American economic corridor.

Strengthening Edinburg’s global positioning

Edinburg’s growing visibility as an innovation-driven city has made it a rising destination for advanced manufacturing, logistics, and technology-based investment. This new partnership with EMAAC reinforces that trajectory, combining Edinburg’s strategic location with a network of international investors and industry associations committed to long-term economic collaboration.

Through alliances like this, Edinburg continues to shape a modern, globally connected economy — one built on cooperation, innovation, and opportunity.
