From June 16 to 22, 2025, the global aerospace industry will converge at the Paris Air Show, and the Rio South Texas Region will be among the participants. Represented by the COSTEP, Council for South Texas Economic Progress, the region will showcase its growing capabilities in aerospace manufacturing, defense, and space exploration.
“The Paris Air Show is an unparalleled platform to strengthen our regional aerospace industry,” said Adam Gonzalez, CEO of COSTEP. “It allows us to highlight our current capabilities and extend an open invitation to potential investors to discover our talent, infrastructure, and industry expertise.”
The presence of companies like SpaceX has transformed perceptions of the region, placing Rio South Texas firmly on the global aerospace map.
“SpaceX has changed the narrative. It proved that Rio South Texas is not just a location—it’s a strategic hub for cutting-edge aerospace development and launches,” Gonzalez noted.
At the show, COSTEP will emphasize not only launch capabilities, but also other critical components of the aerospace value chain: component manufacturing, equipment refurbishing, and cross-border collaboration opportunities with Mexico’s northern industrial clusters.
COSTEP is part of the official Texas delegation, working alongside the Texas Economic Development Corporation and the Office of the Governor, to reinforce the state’s presence at one of Europe’s most prestigious aerospace forums.
“We aim to build strategic partnerships with global companies, present success stories from our region, and engage in forward-looking discussions on innovation, defense, and space exploration,” Gonzalez added.
By participating in the Paris Air Show 2025, COSTEP aims to position Rio South Texas Region as a premier destination for high-tech industrial investment, while continuing to promote its regional strengths on the international stage.
