COSTEP and CANACINTRA Promote Canadian Investment Attraction in the Region

The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA) in Matamoros welcomed representatives of a Canadian manufacturing company interested in establishing operations in the city. They were accompanied by Adam González, CEO of COSTEP, as part of the familiarization tours offered by the organization.
According to Oscar Macario Farías Macías, President of CANACINTRA Matamoros, the Canadian company seeks to expand its operations in the city through Buntech International. To this end, they met at the chamber’s facilities to engage in discussions with the municipal Secretary of Economic Development, Enrique Salinas, as well as the Vice President and Director of the Matamoros Economic Development Council (CODEM), René González and Grecia Zertuche. The meeting aimed to provide insights into the region’s geographic advantages, interconnectivity benefits, and ensure the necessary arrangements with government entities.
In addition to distinguished business leaders from Matamoros, Sergio Gracia, President of México Industry, also participated in the meeting. He was recognized for his contributions in fostering business connections and promoting the region as a key destination for industrial development.
“They came to explore the region and maximize their investment in this area of the country. The purpose of this morning’s meeting was to showcase to business leaders all the advantages of our geographic position and offer them access to the services we provide,” said Oscar Macario Farías Macías, President of CANACINTRA Matamoros.
For his part, Adam González, CEO of COSTEP, emphasized the importance of collaborating with Matamoros’ business organizations to continue driving the region’s investment attraction and support the expansion of existing companies.
