Cole & Ashcroft, a leading consumer packaged goods manufacturer, has commenced construction of a new 36,000-square-foot logistics distribution center in the Roma-Las Americas Industrial Park in Roma, Texas. This facility is set to enhance the company’s distribution capabilities across the United States.
The company currently operates two manufacturing centers, one located in Houston, Texas, where its headquarters and another distribution center are based, and another in Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
The new distribution center in Roma, strategically located on FM 650 near international bridges and commercial corridors, will significantly streamline the company's trade and logistics operations into the U.S. market. The proximity of the Roma-Las Americas Industrial Park to key transportation routes is expected to bolster the efficiency of cross-border commerce.
Cole & Ashcroft: 30 Years of Growth and Innovation
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Cole & Ashcroft specializes in creating and marketing decorative products, party packaging, gift baskets, baking molds, and seasonal items, which are sold across the United States.
The company’s products are widely available in major retail chains such as Walmart, Michaels, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Dollar General, Party City, and Family Dollar, among others.
Founded by Paul Wagner in 1992, Cole & Ashcroft began in a small warehouse in Rosenberg, Texas. Today, the company boasts two distribution and two manufacturing facilities with over 125,000 square feet of operational space. With more than 40,000 retail points of sale, each with its own online presence, Cole & Ashcroft continues to grow its footprint in the retail sector.
The new Roma facility is expected to have a positive impact on the local community by creating direct jobs and encouraging further investment projects, according to local government officials.
Roma-Las Americas Industrial Park: A Hub for Growth
The Roma-Las Americas Industrial Park, a public investment exceeding $16 million, offers ample land for companies involved in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. Available plots range from 1 to 5 acres and 5 to 10 acres, depending on business needs.
In June of this year, economic development officials inaugurated the first building within the park: a secondary customs inspection facility operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The 30,000-square-foot facility includes 12 refrigerated modules and 10 dry modules for merchandise inspection, further solidifying the park's role as a key commercial hub.
