Luis Cantú, president of the Binational Council for Economic Development of Reynosa (Cobifer), said that as a result of the investment promotion trips that were made in 2019 to China by representatives of economic development of the region and entrepreneurs, they are contemplated Four trips to the Asian country during 2020.

“We are following up on the communication that has been established with companies in China, in fact, one of them has already made the decision to settle in Reynosa, it is a large company that came up with the idea of ​​a small project and today will generate more 1,000 jobs, this helps, as other companies in that Asian country to see that other companies have decided to install their operating plants in this city decide to do the same, ”said Cantu.

On behalf of Ralph García, of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation, Cantú mentioned some details of the absorption report that this corporation makes known.

He stressed that at the end of 2019 the negotiation for the installation of the Avant Technologies company in Reynosa, Tamaulipas was completed. This company has its headquarters located in Austin, Texas, and has a plant in Matamoros, Tamaulipas; in Reynosa it will be located in the Prologis Reynosa-Pharr Park. This company -which is not completely new since it comes from Matamoros- contemplates bringing 1,000 jobs to the city.

Another company dedicated to the manufacture of industrial tools arrived in Reynosa with the idea of ​​generating 400 jobs in a first stage, but when he saw the potential of the city he changed the figure to 1,000 jobs, although it is taking a little time for The situation prevailing in China, this project has been finalized.

He mentioned that, in fact, Ralph García is working with another company of Chinese origin, which, while contemplating settling in McAllen, Texas, we know that either in the United States or in Mexico, they have benefit for both regions.

Garcia currently promotes investment in the region on a trip he makes in Austria and Germany.
