The production of vehicles in the country had an increase of 10.4% , assembling 259,994 units in July of this year , while in the same month of 2021 235,380 were created.

The above data was presented in the Administrative Registry of the Light Vehicle Automotive Industry , which is carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).

From January to July 2022, 1,921,338 units have been manufactured, with a positive variation of 4.7%, compared to the same period in 2021, which was a total of 1,833,972 cars.

The brands that did well last month were: Ford Motor with 17,832; General Motors generated 65,747; Kia produced 20,000; Mazda  assembled in July 13,670; Stellantis manufactured 37,443; Volkswagen built 37,086; and JAC produced a total of 1,543 units.

AUTOMOTIVE EXPORTS

For its part, exports of light cars in Mexico increased 4% in July, totaling 210,170 units, while in 2021 it was 202,021 cars, according to figures from Inegi .

However, during the period from January to July 2022, a total of 1,614,765 units were reported, a positive variation of 0.5% compared to the same period in 2021.

The Administrative Registry of the Light Vehicle Automotive Industry (RAIAVL) obtains information from 22 companies affiliated with the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry, AC (AMIA), Giant Motors Latin America and Autos Orientales Picacho .
