Adient will invest 24 million dollars in the State of Mexico; will provide seats for electric vehicles

The automotive company Adient presented their investment plans that they have in the State of Mexico, which exceed 24 million dollars for the realization of two important projects.

The developments of the automotive seat supplier company consist of the installation of production lines for the Ford Mach-E and for the electric Ford Explorer model, which will be generating around 1,550 jobs .

Sergio Carballo Castillo, regional director of operations at Adient, reported that since 2019 the Lerma Plant has been building Mustang Mach-E seats Therefore, it is expected that by 2022 they will start the similar project for the Explorer Electric model .

During the investment announcement, Alfredo Del Mazo, Governor of the State of Mexico, stated that the company has been in the region for 21 years, and with this injection of capital it demonstrates the commitment it has to continue innovating and positioning the national automotive industry, as well as in the creation of job offers.

Adient is a company that supplies one out of every three automotive seats worldwide , which is why it stands out in its product quality and innovation.

In addition, the meeting was attended by Pablo Peralta, Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Mexico; Enrique Bravo, national director of human resources at Adient; Fernando Buchholz Valencia, director of the Lerma Plant and Rafael Velázquez, director of human resources in Latin America.
